This policy explains what we collect when you join the Pets waitlist or play the game, and how we use it. Pets is a remake of the lost 2008 Facebook game. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run your account, the game, and the waitlist.
We store a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage (an offline cache of your save and your waitlist spot). You can clear it any time via your browser settings.
Data is stored and processed by Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting) on our behalf. Payments are processed by Stripe. Email delivery, if used, is handled by a third-party email provider. These processors act under agreements that require them to protect your data.
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your game data and sign-in promptly (payment records may be retained by Stripe and by us as required for tax/accounting/fraud-prevention law). Waitlist entries are kept until you're onboarded or you ask us to remove them.
You can export a copy of your data or permanently delete your account yourself, any time, from Account & privacy inside the game (sidebar). You can also email privacy@pinkabit.com to access, correct, or delete your data, or to remove yourself from the waitlist.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California) — including access, portability, correction, deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those laws define it. We honor verified requests; you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Pets is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy as the project develops; we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
