Welcome to Pets, a faithful remake of the lost 2008 Facebook game. By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game. Pets is operated by the Pets team ("we", "us"). These terms may change as the project develops; we'll update the date above.

Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. The game is not directed to children under 13.

Your account

You sign in with Google or an email and password. Keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity on your account.
One account per person. Don't impersonate others or pick a display name that's offensive or infringing.
We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, cheat, or abuse other players.

Virtual items, gems & gold

Gems and gold are virtual, in-game currencies with no real-world cash value and cannot be redeemed for money.
Gems may be purchased with real money. Gem purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law or stated at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details.
Virtual items are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within the game — you don't own them, and they can't be transferred for real value.
We may adjust, rebalance, or discontinue items, prices, and game features over time. If we permanently shut the game down, unused purchased gems may be handled as required by applicable law.

Fair play

Don't cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or unauthorized third-party tools, tamper with the client or our servers, reverse-engineer the game, or buy/sell/trade accounts or currency for real money outside the game. The in-game economy is server-authoritative; attempts to fabricate currency or items will be reversed and may get your account banned.

Your content & conduct

Anything you make public (display name, pet name, profile) must not be unlawful, hateful, harassing, or infringing. You grant us a limited license to display that content within the game (e.g. on leaderboards and shared profile cards). Be decent to other players.

Availability & changes

Pets is provided "as is" and "as available." This is an in-development remake — we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or that progress will never be reset during early access.

Disclaimers & liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or virtual items. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't be limited under applicable law.

Trademarks

Pets is an independent, fan-made remake and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta / Facebook or the original developers. "Facebook" and other names are the property of their respective owners.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Account & privacy in the game, which permanently erases your data. We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these terms.
